About Mithru

Bridging Distance
with Presence

Reliable, dignified, accountable support for elders in Sri Lanka.

Our Story

Why Mithru was started.

Mithru was founded in response to a reality many families quietly face. As careers expand globally and professional commitments intensify, parents in Sri Lanka often grow older while their children live abroad or manage demanding lives locally.

The intention to be present remains strong — but physical presence is not always possible. This challenge was not theoretical. It was personal.

Through her own experiences, Founder Ayesha Weerasinghe recognized a recurring concern: Who accompanies them to medical appointments? Who ensures errands are handled safely? Who simply sits beside them when the house feels too quiet?

Mithru Care Story
Mission & Values

Trust. Kindness. Humanity. Dignity.

These are not marketing words. They are operational standards guiding every step we take.

Trust

Foundational to Mithru. Careful screening, clear service scope, and transparent pricing ensure peace of mind for families everywhere.

Kindness

Character over qualification. We prioritize companions who listen patiently and offer warmth without intrusion.

Humanity

We see the whole person—not a task list or medical file. Our approach is grounded in human understanding and stories.

Dignity

Aging should never diminish dignity. We assist without patronizing and support without controlling in every interaction.
